Booking Breaks

In addition to appointments, you can manage breaks directly in your appointment book. Breaks can be used flexibly, with common applications including lunch breaks, scheduled blocks, or staff reminders. This helps ensure seamless scheduling and optimized time management.

Create a New Break

  1. Select Date & Time: Choose the date and time for the break.
  2. Create New Break: In the side panel, select “Create Break.”
  3. Select Break Type: Choose the break type from the dropdown, either “Break” or “Lunch”. We have Lunch as an option since it’s the most common reason for breaks.
  4. Adjust Time (if needed): Modify the start or end time if necessary. The default is 30 minutes, but you can extend it as needed. Once created, you can also adjust the break directly in the appointment book by dragging the top or bottom edge to extend or shorten it.
  5. Add Comment: Enter a comment for staff to view in the appointment book, providing context for the break.
  6. Finalize Break: Review details and click Create Break to complete.

Edit a New Break

  1. Select the Break: Click on the break you’d like to edit.
  2. Modify Details: In the side panel, you can change the break type or edit the comment.
  3. Save Changes: Once all changes are made, click “Save” to finalize.

Copy a New Break

Easily copy and paste a break if you want to apply it to multiple staff members or dates, especially when it includes a specific comment that you don’t want to type repeatedly.

  1. Select the Break: Click on the break you’d like to copy.
  2. Copy the Break: In the top right corner, click the Copy Icon.
  3. Alert Reminder: An alert will appear at the top of the appointment book, confirming the break has been copied. If you decide not to paste it, click the “X” on the alert to remove it from your clipboard.
  4. Paste the Break: Navigate to the desired date and time slot, then click to paste the break.
  5. Confirm or Cancel: To finalize, click “Yes” on the confirmation pop-up.
  6. Finalizing: The break will now be pasted into the new slot, and it will appear in both locations.

Remove a New Break

  1. Select the Break: Click on the break you’d like to remove.
  2. Remove the Break: In the top right corner, click the Trash Icon.
  3. Confirm or Cancel: To finalize, click “Yes” on the confirmation pop-up.
