Transaction Item Types – Tips

You can add a tip item to a transaction when a customer wishes to leave a tip for an employee who did not provide a service during that visit.

Adding a Tip via The More Tab

  1. Click the More Tab in the transaction side panel.
  2. In the Tip section, select the employee the tip is intended for and enter the tip amount.
  3. Click the Add (+) button to include the tip in the transaction.
  4. Once added, you can view the tip in the Items tab. From there, you can:
    • Edit the employee assigned to the tip.
    • Adjust the tip amount.
    • Remove the tip item entirely (if you have permission).

This option provides flexibility for customers who want to recognize a staff member outside of a direct service transaction.
